What would you do if you saw 4 adults, 5 children ages 2 to 4, and 2 babies 8 months and 1 year walking in a restaurant, and then actually sitting down at the table next to you??
Yeah, that is look that we see quite frequently when we get together for a playdate and we head for lunch after. In fact that is the look we got today, lol. It’s funny to see the people just staring at us as we’re walking through a restaurant. They always seat us in the back though, they are nice about that. Today we got the table right next to the kitchen – lucky us!
People are very anti-children, especially when there is a lot of them together. BUT… I think it was the restaurant that got lucky! Usually there are two more women and 4 more children, so usually it is 6 adults, 8 children, and 3 babies! Imagine the looks we get THEN!!
We really do make an entrance wherever we go, lol. One day I’m going to take a picture – it will make you laugh. If you are not a parent then I’m sure it will make you cringe, but we enjoy ourselves so that is all that counts!

Yeah I think my face would be something like that. I really don’t like kids. Granted I’m sure I’d love my own if I had them but I really hate other people’s kids.
When I am a restaurant (like a proper restaurant, not something really kid-friendly) and someone walks in with their kids my first thought is ‘ffs, get a sitter!’.
There’s nothing I hate worse than trying to eat while someone’s kid runs around, bangs their silverware off their plates, whine, cry, or the many other things they do to annoy me.
What I hate most is when they STARE!! WHY do people let their kids sit there and STARE at the people next to them? Ok fine they are being quiet but it’s still rude and REALLY annoying when you are trying to enjoy a meal.
Oh god you really shouldn’t have gotten me started! haha
I know that look. I’ve seen it many a time.
I know that look too!
We have a 2 1/2 year boy… a 1 1/2 year old… and a 3 month old – when we go out to eat – I’m not kidding, the last 2 times, we had people see us and ask to be moved. Sad b/c our kids aren’t even that loud and bad at all… but it’s a daunting sight!
So I know that look… love this post, so so so true!!
