Well, I think like me everyone is on the countdown to Christmas. The last few parties, the last gifts to buy, the last cookies to bake. It is around this time that I’m not quite ready for it to end. There is something so wonderful about this time of year – everyone seems rather festive, it’s the actual one time of the year that it is fun to spend money, and the kids are so darn excited that “Santa” is coming. Of course, as a parent, it is also when your child is usually the most well behaved, since you know, Santa doesn’t come to the houses of boys and girls that don’t listen to their mother, clean their room, hang up their coats, or anything else you want them to do. I kid you not, I’m completely using it to my advantage – I’ve never seen my son do so many chores in his life! But he’ll certainly get rewarded :-)
As for me, I do have some last minute shopping to do tomorrow with the little I have left, and I have to get some food cooked for the party on Tuesday. My son is having his Christmas party with his friends on Monday, which is always a good time, and then I’m having my adult only friends party on Tuesday which should always be fun! Christmas Eve I’m heading to my moms where we will feast on a good ole fashioned Italian meal (we’re not Italian, lol) and have my son open all of his presents from my mom. That should be fun and he should be completely wiped out just in time to come home, fall asleep and do it all again!
So, as the last weekend before Christmas is set to arrive, I just wanted to say that I hope you all get everything you need done in time, with as little stress as possible. Christmas is about fun, family and good times, and we just have to take a moment to remember and cherish that :-)

I have 2 gift cards to get and one movie and I am done. I do need to get to wrapping up stuff though. I also have to make cookies and finish shopping for Christmas dinner.

I could not have said that better myself. LOL I, unfortunately, much like you, have way too much still to do. The cookie baking is done, but I still have quite a few gifts to buy. UGH!
