I’m taking a little break – and I mean really little… The party yesterday was great… good food, good friends, lots of fun. And now we get to do it all over again tonight! Yesterday was the kids party so it was very family friendly – you know, decorate sugar cookies, play with all the new toys from their “secret santa” and generally run amuck with no yelling from the parents :-) There were 12 kids altogether, 1 of which had a massive ear ache we think because she cried for about 3 hours straight and when her mom went to touch her face she touched her ear and the girl screamed bloody murder. So, she left to go to the doctors, but with the rest of them, I think we still had 8 sick kids left and one sick adult (that would be me!). So, I’m sure the sickness isn’t over yet!

Now tonight we get to have the adults party which means less screaming (unless you count us when we’re playing games) and way more drinking. We’ll still open gifts from our “secret santa” and then probably more drinking. It’s at my house so that should be fun, because if you don’t know me by now, you may realize that I’m not a party thrower. My house is too small I feel and I can’t cook, but they appreciate the effort anyhow! So, today I’m finishing my cleaning spree and doing some cooking. A lot of it is pot luck so that takes some of the pressure off me, but I’m still having ham and cheese nibblers, pizza nibblers, bruschetta, tuna and egg finger sandwiches, meatballs, cookies and chips and salsa. So along with the curry chicken someone is bringing and the cheese dip someone else is bringing there should be plenty of food. Plus I think there are leftovers from the party yesterday which someone is bringing. So, at least we’ll be eating good!

Then tomorrow is the last ditch effort on wrapping and then off to my moms for Christmas Eve dinner. Jeesh, I’m tired, lol.
