Let’s Go Skiing!

When I was a little girl I was an avid skier. Living in New England we had a lot of opportunities to ski frequently. My father even went so far as to buy me my own cross country skis, even though I definitely preferred downhill skiing! I haven’t been in SO long, but it doesn’t mean I still don’t dream of going all the time. We’re about 7 hours from the nearest decent ski resort, which I would love to take my son to, so that he can learn how to ski as well! Another place I would love to take him to came to me via Mom Central. It is called Park City Mountain Resort and in one word it is simply awesome. It is located in Park City, Utah which is home to some of the best skiing in the United States if you ask my opinion. New England skiing was fun, but it was icy! There wasn’t the large powdered snow that you find in places such as Utah, Colorado and such. Just in the past 72 hours they have had 22 inches of new fresh ready to ski snow! Gosh, I’m literally drooling at the thought. They have over 3,300 acres to find fresh powder on and more so, they have runs for all ages and abilities which is why they have been named a top 10 family resort consistently through the years.
In fact, they even have several articles dedicated to the “Park City Mountain Resort’s Insider’s Guide to the Ultimate Family Winter Vacation” with articles written by moms about everything from ski lessons for children to family friendly restaurants.
As their website says –
If you’re looking forward to your first winter vacation or enjoy an annual family ski trip, The Adventure is your source for ideas and tips on vacationing in the snow. You’ll find helpful insights from our moms on topics from packing to eating to planning the perfect family winter vacation. Plus, you can see what others are saying about Park City, Utah and comment on your own experience.
Not only that but if you log on to their site by January 30th you can register to win a ski trip to Park City Mountain Resort all your own! Imagine zooming down those slopes with a free trip :-) As for me, it’ll be next year before I can go skiing with my son, but until then I’ll just dream about the 22 inches of new fresh snow!
