Moving On

Well, it’s official… I posted my last post on Ourwickedweighs.com . What started out as a project to lose weight ended up being a trial in finding upbeat and positive things to say. I am on a constant rollar coaster in my weight loss – down 3 pounds one week up 2 the next. It has been incredibly frustrating to want something so bad and just not do it. I have never given excuses – I just choose not to put forth the effort as much as I need to. Yes, I make healthy choices – but not all the time. Not to mention it’s hard to come up with things to say about weight loss 3 times a week for 10 months! Everyone pretty much already knows what they need to do – what more can I say?

So, I’ve been thinking that I’m going to concentrate solely on writing my book. I have written just the prologue and then stopped. I have proposals to write, chapters to finish, and that is going to be my main goal for now. Although I would love to take on another blog, I just don’t think it is necessarily what I need right now – but If I were to do it, I would consider a writing blog. SO many people email me on how to get started with freelance writing. My emails end up being long books that don’t thoroughly explain anything. Maybe if I can enlist the help of my friend Kate who is a great writer, we could put together a great mixture of how to become a freelance writer in all aspects such as books, blogs, poetry and more and deal with all the aspects of writing, even if it is only for yourself. But since I haven’t even asked her yet (Hi Kate!) it is something that I may hold off for till the future.

I am a bit sad, I had such high hopes for it way back when, but I just didn’t have the time to dedicate to making it what it could have been and although Queenie and I tried our best, we both need to move on. So, there it is – the end of my Our Wicked Weighs blog. If you were a frequent reader then thank you so much, and if you linked it, I greatly appreciate it, and if it helped you out in the least, then I was happy to be a part of it.

A new look!

You may be wondering what the heck I am talking about – there is nothing new here!

Ahh, but I’m talking about my other blog! We have a completely new look, with a whole new attitude. You must check it out! We have all these fancy buttons if anyone is interested at all – see??

That should give you an idea about what we look like now :)

Anyhow, I’m tired so there isn’t much to write about now. My entire weekend was spent doing this – well, and playing a little poker. No big wins this weekend, but considering I’m still playing off what I had in my account a few weeks ago when I won big, I think I’m doing pretty good!

So, anyhow, go by and see the new look and let me know what you think! If you hate it that’s okay, but if you love it, that’s even better :)

Blogger Choice Awards

Who knew that these had even begun again? Not me!

Our Wicked Weighs – my other blog that you should all know plenty about by now – has been nominated in the category of Best Health Blog!

Please please please go give me a vote :) Not that I expect to win by any means, but it would be great if I could at least get on the front page, lol.

My site was nominated for Best Health Blog!

Feel free and click that button to vote! And thank you!

A New Year, A New You

If you happen to click HERE you will notice a little something called “Our Wicked Weighs”!!! YAY!! It’s up again! However, I have yet to make it as “full” as it once was, but that is because I’ve been uber busy, so right now it’s just posts and that kind of stuff, but within a week it’ll be fully functional with all the links to the best diet plans and all that kind of stuff. But for now, you can certainly start by reading or just saying hi!

This blog is set up much like the original in the way that we like to think of this blog, not as just listening to us talk, but as a way to get involved in your own weight loss journey. It is about all of us, so if you need to lose a few (or in my case MUCH MORE than a few) join in and register!

I want to take this very public forum to thank Shelah for her many hours of hard work getting this up and running for us. She is a true professional and a great friend. She did this out of love for the site, so lets do her all proud and make it a good one!!
